What’s for Dinner?

Elevate Your Frozen Foods!

Frozen foods can be a significant timesaver when you’re in a pinch or want veggies that don’t happen to be in season. Frozen veggies can be done surprisingly well with some practice and technique.

“Promoting Healthy Living.”

1. Sautee it. Given the option to microwave or sautee your dish, always choose sautee. Instead of mushy brussels sprouts, you’ll have the browned, crispy kind you are going for. It both looks and tastes better.

Don’t forget the seasoning-- a well-seasoned dish makes all the difference!

2. Top it with something. If you have a rice, pasta, or veggie medley you’re going to use as the base, throw a piece of chicken/tofu in a pan and brown it up while you defrost.

3. Add a salad. Choosing a side or a salad can round out the meal, making it feel more balanced and also a little more filling.

You can find some hidden gems in the freezer section. Next grocery trip, take some time to really have a good look in the freezer section and take home some new items to have in stock.
